Recording an oil change has always been easy. Recording the whole job — three cabin filters, a set of plugs, and the one receipt that covers all of it — was not. The new service wizard walks you through it in order and shows you what will be saved before you commit.
In this release: a guided service wizard with a review step, purchases that cover many parts, duplicate-part protection, and easier control over part costs.
What's New
A guided flow from start to finish
Choose to record a service and the wizard opens. You step through the service details, the parts you used, and the purchases behind them, without leaving the page and without saving a half-finished record first. A review page at the end lays out the whole job — the service, each part, and how each part is tied to a purchase — before you save the record.
Many parts, one receipt
One trip to the parts store, one receipt, several parts. A purchase can now include multiple parts and displays them all. You can also delete a single part from a purchase, or delete the whole purchase if it was entered by mistake.
Duplicate parts, prevented
Trying to create a part that already exists is now stopped with a clear message, so you don't end up with three different “Oil Filter” entries.
Costs you can actually control
Adjusting a part's cost by hand is easier, and a part linked to a purchase shows the price from that purchase. Service notes are now optional, because sometimes the date and the parts say it all.
Fixes
- Part quantity now updates correctly when you edit a service record.
- The purchase view shows the correct part number.
