Selling a truck? Lending a mower to a neighbor? Asking a mechanic for a second opinion? This release makes it easy to show someone a machine's history without handing them a login.
In this release: a public, read-only machine page with a PDF button, a service details screen that matches the rest of the app, a more consistent look throughout, and a fix for creating service records.
What's New
Public machine view
A machine can now have a public page that anyone can open from a link. It shows the machine's details, its photos, and the service records you've chosen to make public. No sign-in is needed, and the site header, footer, and menu are stripped away so the page reads like a clean spec sheet. Tap the PDF button to save or print it.
Public machine view is available by request while we finish the tools for managing it yourself.
Service details that match the app
The full-page service details screen now has the same look as the app's other windows, and the Save button is back when you're creating a new record.
One look, everywhere
Alerts, status badges, form headers, collapsible sections, and modal windows now share the same building blocks, so a warning looks like a warning wherever you meet it. We also trimmed the size of the app itself for quicker loads.
Improvements
- Tidier headers and styling across the app.
- New walk-through material on the home page showing how Garage131 works.
Fixes
- Creating a service record no longer behaves strangely when you switch sections — what you typed stays put and fields no longer vanish.
- The Save button on the full service details page for a new record is back.
