Our last release rebuilt the front door — the dashboard. This one rebuilds the rooms you spend the most time in: recording service, and describing your machines.

In this release: a hub-style service screen, machine statuses and service types you define, a redesigned machine form, Shopping Lists renamed to Lists, and a batch of polish.

What's New

A hub for service records

The step-by-step wizard from March did its job, but recording a job rarely happens in a straight line: you add the receipt after the parts, or fix a note at the end. The service screen is now a hub. The details, parts, purchases, and receipts all live on one screen and you jump to whatever you need, with receipts given more prominence. Viewing a finished service record got the same treatment, with parts, costs, and receipts laid out on a single page. If you try to leave with unsaved changes, Garage131 asks first.

Machine statuses you define

Your organization now names its own machine statuses in Settings, and each one belongs to a category: OK, Needs attention, Down, or Inactive. The category decides the status color, whether the machine counts on the dashboard's Down tile, and whether it's hidden as inactive. Inactive machines are hidden from the machine list and the dashboard by default, so retired equipment stops cluttering your view.

Service types you define

The same idea applies to service types. Name the types your crew actually uses and file each one under a category — Routine, Repair, Inspection, Upgrade, or Other — which sets its color today and lays the groundwork for routine-versus-repair reporting.

A make-over for the machine form

Adding or editing a machine has a cleaner, redesigned layout, and the styling was refreshed across many other pages to match.

Shopping Lists are now just Lists

These lists hold to-dos as often as they hold things to buy, so we renamed them. Same lists, same sharing options, shorter name.
