Until now, Garage131 has mostly been a one-person garage. This release opens the doors: bring in your crew, decide who can do what, and — if you share vehicles — take reservations.
In this release: organizations and members, roles with per-person permissions, badge-and-PIN login, the Vehicle Reservation System (VRS), and a full notifications page.
What's New
Organizations and members
Your account can now belong to one or more organizations. Invite members, see who has access, and review each person's details in one place. If you belong to more than one organization, an org switcher appears in the menu; if you don't, it stays out of your way.
Roles and permissions that make sense
Each member has a role in the organization and a maintenance role that runs from admin down to viewer. When someone needs an exception, permission overrides let you adjust a specific ability for just that person, and an effective-permissions panel shows exactly what they can do — and why. Menus and buttons adapt to match: if you can't use a feature, you won't see a link to it.
Badge and PIN login
Not everyone on a crew has, or wants, an email address. Members can sign in on a shared device with a badge ID and a PIN, and change their own PIN whenever they like.
Vehicle Reservation System (VRS)
Mark machines as reservable, and members can check a calendar for availability and request a reservation. Approvers work from an approval queue. At pickup and return there's a check-out and check-in flow with condition reports, so damage is documented before it becomes an argument. Operational issues can be flagged for follow-up, and scheduled maintenance windows block a vehicle from being reserved while it's in the shop.
VRS is available on plans above Professional.
A notifications page
A full Notifications page now collects everything in one list, instead of just the menu dropdown.
Fixes
- Removed a stray “error” message that appeared when you logged out.
- Fixed an odd notch on date fields in the reservation pages.
