You're selling a truck on Facebook Marketplace and someone asks, “Do you have the service records?” The honest answer used to be “Somewhere.” Now the answer is a link.
In this release: Machine Passport, logo and QR code branding on printed service records, machine-type presets for more kinds of work, bigger photo uploads, and a round of polish.
What's New
Machine Passport
A Machine Passport is a read-only public page for a single machine that anyone can open without logging in. You decide what's on it: which photos and which service records are visible. If you want to stop sharing a link, generate a new one and the old one stops working immediately.
This is the public machine view from February, now in your hands — no request needed. A Passport is for the public; sharing a machine with another organization (from April) is for the people you want working on it with you, and the two stay separate on purpose.
Your logo and a QR code on printed service records
In Settings, the new Branding section lets you add your own logo and an optional QR code to every service record your team prints. The QR code can link to any address you choose — your website, a support page, whatever you'd like people to land on.
Start with the right machine types
Three new machine-type presets — Typical Home, Cabinet Shop, and Mechanic Shop — join the existing ones, so the drop-downs start with things you actually own, whether that's a sedan and a snow blower or a CNC router and a tire changer. You can always type your own.
Upload more photos at once
Batches of photos can now be larger, and each individual photo is kept smaller, so adding a whole set of shots from the garage takes less waiting.
Improvements
- Click a machine's title to open its details.
- The new-user welcome and sample-data screen has a refreshed look.
- Tapping a profile picture opens the gallery on the first click, not the second.
Fixes
- The loading screen is now easy to see in dark mode.
- Fixed a bug in the reservation menu on mobile.
