Working on a trailer at nine at night with a bright white screen in your face is nobody's idea of a good time. Garage131 now has a proper dark mode — and the light mode got a fresh look to go with it.

In this release: two new themes, a slide-out panel for machine details, and a modernized foundation under the hood.

What's New

Two themes, one switch

Arctic White is a clean, cool light theme. Warm Stone is a dark theme in warm charcoal tones that's easy on the eyes in a garage. Switch any time, and Garage131 remembers your choice. Pages throughout the app have been reworked to look right in both.

A side panel for machine details

Machine details, sharing, and reminders now open in a slide-out side panel, so you can check something on a machine without losing your place in the list.

Improvements

Under the Hood

We moved the app to the latest version of Angular (up from version 16, one careful step at a time), along with Material 3 styling and Tailwind CSS 4. You won't see a button for that, but it keeps Garage131 on a modern, well-supported foundation.
